Happy Mother's Day.

I know Mother's Day was almost 2 weeks ago but so many things happened that I did not have a chance to post. That past Sunday, million of moms celebrated Mother's Day. I don't make it such a big deal since I think mothers should be celebrated everyday. My hubby hit the jackpot when he married me. No pressure in celebrating certain holidays. lol

I've been a mom for almost 6 years now. I've had ups and downs but lots of love. I wished having babies were a breeze for me but it wasn't. The conception went well lol but the pregnancies were rough. Morning sickness goes away after the first trimester, correct? Yeah right! How about a few hours before pushing the baby out??? Heartburn from drinking water, not being able to keep food down, pains, dry heaves, fatigue, etc. I LOVED being in labor compared to being pregnant. And yet I did it again a few years later. Crazy I know! Even my coworkers thought I was nuts since they saw how bad it was for me. Crazy I tell you!

The end result though was so worth it. Perfect healthy babies. I didn't know you could love such a tiny thing after a few minutes. Poor kids get bombarded with kisses and hugs. Whenever I feel sad about them growing up too quickly, I look at old pics and remember those days. I miss those days. Here's some of my favorite photos while carrying my babies and favorite photo shots of them.

Here I am pregnant with my daughter. You would never know I was sick as a dog a few hours before this photo. lol I remember though. I was showing my belly to my parents since they were in Canada.

Here I am posing with my newborn little girl.

At her first wedding when she was about 18 months old. People would stop and tell us she looked like the Gerber baby. I think she looked beautiful but I am biased.

Pregnant with my second. I wanted to show my belly again to my parents. I didn't ask for any help when I was pregnant or after the babies were born. Too proud to ask for help. Girl Winking

A zoo trip. My babies were always chubby when they were small. For some reason, they start to lean out at 1 1/2 years old. sniff.

Happy belated Mother's Day to all of you!

A Bientot!

You are so beautiful and even more so pregnant. Your babies are beautiful too. I really enjoy your blog and the small French lessons (lol). My first pregnancy was rough also. The smell of food would make me throw up. Mine did get better after the first trimester, but my Grandmother, like you, had a bad time throughout her pregnancy all three times. Isn't it strange how the memory of it doesn't deter us from doing it again? Happy Mother's Day to you too. I agree, every day is Mother's day.
