Another year older.

Today is my birthday. I am another year older and hopefully wiser. I don't celebrate my birthday so hubby gets off easy in not having to make a big production out of it. lol This year I decided I needed some clothes and that is what I got. I also decided no cake. I had my fill from my daughter's birthday. lol Tomorrow we will go out for ice cream. The kids will like that.

How did I spend my birthday? By hosting a playdate. My friend brought her 2 little boys and her sister-in-law from England. They came early in the morning so I whipped out some honey madeleines. They were all gone by the time they left! lol Two were sent out to her hubby since he has a sweet tooth. As we chatted, sipping coffee and eating madeleines, the kids were playing in the playroom. I made pasta and shrimp for lunch and once they went home, both kids took a nap. Ahhh bliss!

Now I am inching my way closer to my mid thirties. I still feel 18 inside but here I am. A mother of 2 children. One in elementary. Yikes! Times goes by so quickly! My birthday wishes are to get back my patience that I lost 3 years ago and good health. I have all that I need so what else could I want? Maybe world peace? Do you celebrate your birthday or just take it like any other day?
