Since we have been to that tour before, we opted to walk around the grounds and check the store. My mom bought a few things there then went to Rutherford Hills. They also have a nice wine cave tour. We got there early and decided to sit at their picnic area and have a snack until the tours started. The view was amazing but it was noisy. Constructions was going on somewhere down the hill. We also had some nice Chardonnay before the tour started.
Here's our tour guide. Very knowledgeable and polite. My kids were not the only minors there but they were the only "small" kids. The kids liked the caves. It was cold and humid. We saw how wine was made which was interesting. We kept our wine glasses from the winery and my parents gave me theirs since they were afraid it would break on the way back home.
After the tour, we stopped for lunch at V. Sattui Winery. It was my second time there and it was packed unlike the last time we were there. It's perfect for an outdoor picnic. They have a great deli section and wine selection. You can get fresh sandwitches or some pasta dishes. They have a huge selection of cheeses too!
As we left Napa Valley, we got stuck in traffic. My derriere was so sore from driving to and from Napa Valley. The kids were knocked out so that helped alot. I didn't need cranky and tired kids having a meltdown in the middle of traffic. Once home, we we all tired but my parents had a great time. Napa is really nice to visit but you need more than a day to really enjoy Napa.

looks fun! The watermelon photos are hilarious and cute.
I love to go to the champagne wineries....Mumm and Roederer particularly.
