Honest?

My friend Corey from Conversations via Computer has sent me an Honest Blogger Award. It has nothing to do with how honest I am. LOL That's what I thought at first until I read further down her post. Here's the copy pasted rules from her blog. It's just perfect so I took it.

So here are the rules: “When you receive the prize you must write a post showing it, together with the name of who has given it to you, and link them back. Choose a minimum of 7 blogs (or more) that you find brilliant in their content or design. Show their names and links and leave them a comment informing they were prized with ‘Honest Weblog’. Show a picture of those who awarded you and those you give the prize (optional). List [if you can and/or dare] at least ten honest things about yourself. And then, pass it on.”

Here are my ten honest things.

1. I am somewhat of a neat freak. I'm one of those people that actually enjoy cleaning and organizing. I blame this on my mom since she was super neat freak.
2. I love to cook for my family and friends. I also blame this on my mom but it's probably the Portuguese genes kicking in as I get older. You're off the hook mom for this one!
3. I love to entertain. I love having company or going to see friends and family. What can I say??? I'm a Cancer!
4. I miss my city. Alot. I would love to go back but my hubby cannot stand 2 extreme weathers (either too hot and humid in summer and frigid in winter). Until I hit the lottery and buy a condo in Montreal, visiting it every other year will do.
5. I talk too much. I really really talk too much. A quick phone call can go for hours especially if I'm talking to a chatty like myself.
6. I sometimes cut people off. This one really shames me. I try not to do it yet sometimes something pops in that is about the other person's conversation. This is my worse bad habit.
7. Giving my time or giving things for people makes me happy. lol I know, usually people like to get but I prefer to give. Ask my mom. She would enter the kitchen and see strange kids waiting at the fridge while I handed out fruit.
8. I don't know how to take a compliment well. In my awkwardness, I just reverse the compliment and say something like " Nah! I'm not a good cook". Trying to improve in this one.
9. I am fluent in 3 languages. You should hear me talk to my parents! I sometimes mix all 3 together. I can somewhat understand Spanish too since it's very similar to Portuguese. A few Italian words since it's closer to French.
10. I like to my new friends. Anywhere! I love to learn about new cultures and taste their food too.
