Alas...

Photo from Croixrouge,Canada

...my car went to Heaven. It would cost us over $2K to fix it (they are still checking it out!) and they may have some engine damage because of a broken cam shaft?? It looks like this weekend we are going car shopping since living in Sacramento, you need a car. The public transportation here sucks. We don't even have a bus stopping where I live so I'll have to walk a few miles to the nearest bus stop.

I'm sad that I will be saying goodbye to my car since that's the car I brought both kids home from the hospital, help us transports hard supplies to our first home, gardening items, plants, etc. My daughter is really happy since she thought my car was old (anything over a week is old to her. She's 6. ). I hope I find one this Saturday for not much. One thing for sure, it will be a used car since we don't buy new. Let someone else take the hit the first year of a new car. Not us.

Off to search for our next family car.

A Bientot!

Happy hunting!

I'll found a better one, it's hard when you get sentimental about material stuff, but when you'll find another one you will be happier than ever and thinking «How could I drive that car for so long???» That's what happened to me... ;)

Oh no, that's terrible :( I can so totally relate to an old family car having lots of sentimental memories. I had a hard time parting with my previous car too, but my kids were getting to be teens and we needed a bigger car. Good luck with your search :)
